Injury Prevention Committee

The Partnership recently agreed to expand to include a focus on injury prevention in Durham. Injury prevention is a large issue area, encompassing both intentional injuries (homicide, suicide, assault, abuse, etc) and unintentional injuries (motor vehicle crashes, falls, drownings, fires, etc). They have a massive impact on the health of our communities, yet are often predictable and preventable.

As a start, we are gathering information from the community about agencies currently carrying out injury prevention programs in Durham. This will create a directory of injury prevention resources in Durham, which we hope will help us work together on this issue, as well as help community groups find the injury prevention programming they seek.

If you have any injury prevention resources or programs, please fill out the form below. If you are interested in the Partnership's future activities in the field of injury prevention, please let us know through the last question. We are at the very beginning stages of determining our focus and strategies, and would love to have as much input in this process as possible.
